since i'm still on "post marathon," the workout for today was 3 1-mile reps at marathon pace... which is pretty slow.

It says that my first mile I went out at 7:30 and then was coaxed into slowing down.
Golly, that makes me feel good about things.

Which Garmin did you get?
forerunner 305. i really wanted the 405, but the 305 was on sale for $169- $100 cheaper than wholesale on the 405. just couldn't justify that 405.
sounds like a big price gap. I have the 305 too, I haven't seen the 405 yet. Before that I had the 301. I am lusting after the 705 right now...
ah, the Edge? I tried running with Ben's edge and it kept losing me. I don't think they're good at slow speeds.
yeah, I use my 305 when I am riding instead of having a computer on each bike. I am not sure it records distance correctly when I am on twisty trails in the woods, but otherwise it seems to work well. This winter I used it for snowshoeing and x-c skiing too.
I think the calories burned are waaay optimistic on the 305 in the bike mode, though. the calorie readings seem way higher than on the 301.
I'd like an Edge, though it would be annoying to have to buy a bracket for every bike, vs. having the 305 on my wrist. It seems like it has more GPS features, from what I have read.
