Half Acre Cycling is hosting a race July 13 in Hampshire, IL and needs your help!
We need a ton of volunteers to staff traffic intersections, registration/food/etc. If you can make it out, you'll get a free tshirt, free lunch, free registration to race that day or any other day in the series, our eternal adoration, and of course... some Half Acre. Several cars are going out from Chicago, so if you can make it but need a ride, we'll work it out for ya. Email Dave or the Team to let us know if we can count on you.
Or, you could race it! Yeah, it's a Time Trial. Come show us that when you blame mechanicals or trail conditions for your slow finish, it's true. This is as real as it gets.
...the 1/2 mary plan started this morning with what was supposed to be an easy 3 but I somehow pushed it fast, nagging ankle or not. finished with 9:41 average, about my 10K race pace, but i know now that i have it in me to go faster. please, though, remind me that the plan has easy runs in it for a reason... like tomorrow's intervals.

Follow the plan Julie. But really good job on your pace today.
Hey, I think I figured out what the problem is with my bike position. I need a longer stem. Mine is a 90 and I need a 130. I'll be able to reach better and not be so cramped up.
Oh, and my handlebars are higher than that picture I posted. That pic was from when it was just built and not even ridden yet.
