The worst possible time to have a race called off is after you've gotten up at 5am, loaded the car, driven through the rain, paid tolls and burned gas, set up tent n' gear in the rain, and sat through a 1 hour rain delay. Unfun. Damn you rainclouds.
Luckily the Half Acre ladies don't let a little cancellation ruin the adventure, and we spent the next 6 hours stopping at the Mars Cheese Castle, collecting beer at Woodman's, having Indian food lunch on Devon, and engaging in other shenanegans. It was fun, but it wasn't riding a bike.
The net effect, though, is I haven't ridden my bike, I haven't done my 17 mile run, and I have until 10:30am tomorrow morning to make it happen because wedding and family commitments fill the rest of the day. Um. Yeah.
I should also mention the make-up date for today's race falls on our wedding day. And I think I'll be there for a lap...

Pitchfork Festival is about 1/2 mi from here, and you can hear it from on the balcony. There are hipsters about our neighborhood.
