like bikes? come ride one.

(Flyer by Amanda Barbato)
Registration is now open for the Half Acre Cycling Chicago Time Trial Series 40k race in Hampshire, IL. Now, I know few of us are road/tt cyclists, BUT no matter what kind of riding you do, time trials are a great measure of your strength and fitness. It costs just $20 and there will be superfun primes of Half Acre beer and El Duke degreaser along with a healthy cash purse. More details on categories and payout on this here flyer.

Ben's racing it, Mike's probably racing too, so is Kevin and Tim and Naz. I'm racing it on my commuter, and I think that if you have a bike with one brake and a helmet, you should race it too. It's our little fledgling organization's first race, and we're really trying to make it fun. We were even considering a prime for anyone who rides a BMX bike in the event, but then even Ben wasn't willing to ride a BMX bike 25 miles, so we scrapped that idea... (More info on time trials is here.) Who's in?

I'll see If I can fit it in, its the day after 12 hours of Blue Mounds, I might be too dead to do it. Blue Mounds will be my last endurance tune-up before 24-9.

I'm way excited to both race the TT and work it. I can't believe how awesome that flyer is, too.
