Ben got the call from Amtrak last night that his bikes have arrived home from Jersey. Super special thanks to Ryan and Jen for delivering them safely to the train station. I didn't really get a chance to assess the full damage of the mudbath that was this weekend's race, so I'm not sure what all needs to be done. I know we'll recable at least one front derailer. The rest, wait and see. At least there's no pressure for this weekend.

I'm very thankful for my walk to work. I usually hurt a little after my morning runs and the 1/2 mile walk helps work out some of the soreness. This was particularly the case today after my "cliffhanger" workout - run mile 1 20 sec slower than pace, then take 10 sec off the pace every mile for 5miles, finishing at 20 sec below pace. Ouch. But hey, I did it, and it counts.
This morning Ben forgot his chain lock at home, so he called and asked me to bring it to work. I wore it around my waist and laughed as I thought to myself, "this thing brings me back up to what I weighed last year at this time." Progress!
