I came in from this morning's run to the smell of fresh coffee. Ben left a pot with a note, "hot and yummy," waiting for me. I love the little things he does to support my stupid hobbies/obsessions, it means a lot to me. Molly however was unimpressed and is still giving me the look of death for leaving her home.
Last night, to make up for the miles I missed in the rain yesterday morning, Audrey came over and we ran 4 in the heavy snow. That was TWO runs with Audrey... I'm hoping I've found a new running buddy. Then, this morning, I went out for the 7.
I like to think this morning's run was like running on a popsicle-- every few blocks I'd get to be on the clean iceless stick but mostly it was slick and occasionally slushy, sometimes I slid even in the yaktracks. Times like these it's not about running fast, it's about focusing on just not quitting.
