trials and tribulations of LFP training.

It's been a long week. i'm on program and pretty burned out, between work travels and work stresses and trying to fit all the workouts in plus wanting to keep running with Molly. I guess it's a lot. For example, this morning I was on the road by 6:30am for work. I got home in time to squeeze in grocery shopping, an interval workout on the path, actual stretching and fun with Audrey's foam roller to try to fix my back, and barely have dinner before right now, 8pm. And I have a flight tomorrow morning. And Molly went to daycare since I didn't get to run her. Thinking about vacation again...

I'm trying to get comfortable with going faster on the path. I'm not. It's been cold and rainy this week (luckily?) so there are fewer people to contend with, but I still get a little creeped out about the people out there.

I also have terrible curses. They're better known as Conti Sport tires, now on a 6th ride where I somehow eeked out a flat-free workout, for a total score of 4 for 6 (that's flats on 4 of 6 rides). Do yourself a favor and don't ride on these tires. It's now bad enough where I'm allowing time to patch tubes after rides and, not wanting to keep paying for CO2 cartridges, I'm pocketing a pump. Great fun.

So, hope y'all are having fun times. The good part of the day is right now-- couch time. Ben's right there <- and so is molly. hearts.

lfp= lake front path. Oh, and I woke up to a flat this am. 5 for 6.

I only use C02 when on a hard ride with other people or when I've gotta get myself to work and I'm running late. Otherwise, the $14.99 minipump gets the job done with only 2-3 minutes of pumping. Plus, you save from buying those scam-priced C02 cartridges and if you botch the fill, as I have, you're not stuck.

d pumps the tires to 120. way over what most people do. i wish for you to have no more flats!

good job on the sppedwork. it hurts. but it's short and sweet and over fast.
