I did something I've never done before today. I poached some trail. But I was in good company with a local who volunteers for the trail crews and was right when he said, "It's not that it's too wet, it's that they're planning maintenance." It had some slick bits but I can honestly say that we didn't hurt that trail, not one bit. My riding buddy even wore his jersey from the state trail assoc, so he was solid. It was fun and the trail wasn't at all technical, but it had cool built up bridges and one buildout that was rocks into a hollowed out log. Nice!
Let's see... so much going on... like...
Registered for Palos. Woot. You should too.
A silly note I sent to Andrew somehow made it into CX Mag this issue. Sorry, it isn't quite as funny in the context printed... but go get a copy and see for yourself.
Working as Chief Judge at both Cobb Park and Fox River Grove crits this weekend, so I don't quite have a weekend off. But I'll hopefully say hi to lots of friendly folks. I really just wanna ride my bike, but all the local trails are closed. Damn, damn rain.
Another week 100% on workouts. I can do this.
