a slight bump in motivation.

The results from this weekend made me happy. I know, they weren't stellar, but they were solid, and that's all I ever hoped for. I feel strong, I feel like the workouts are getting me somewhere, I feel like I'm a better climber and a better runner. It feels good.

Well, it felt good, until noon on Monday when the soreness set in. Man o man, this morning's run had that mile 22 buckshot/sore feeling to it.

Anyway, as is always the case, this good/motivated feeling means I'm thinking about racing a lot-- about Cheq, about Big Sur. Wait, did I just say Big Sur? Crap, I have way too much time on my hands if that's sneaking into my brain already, 10 months before... but it's all building, it's all just hills to get over. Thinking about more time in the saddle, itching for Palos to dry out. I need more of this feeling.
