Lowes Creek Park, Eau Claire

It's 4:50. I told my mom I'd be home in time for dinner with her and my grandma, and I know that grandma standard time means an early dinner. I've already been lost two or three times, and at one point I was stunned to come out of a trail exactly where I had gone in it- without expecting it at all. My trail map is sweat through and I'm not entirely sure which way is which and the swarm of mosquitos isn't giving me much time to figure it out. Do I take what looks like the fastest trail back to the car, or take the long way? Duh. We all know the answer.

The trail at Lowes Creek is AWESOME. A little sandy, totally dry, hardpacked and fast. Well signed, filled with bridges, logovers, a rock garden... and totally empty. Only one hard climb, but that's enough, I'm just out here for fun. What an awesome day.
