Family is what it's all about.

Ben and I had the requisite bottle of champagne on Amtrak en route to visit my family in Milwaukee on Thursday. We spent two nights with them, the usual crazy big Christmas Eve dinner at the family house, and the German-restaurant Christmas day feast. Before Christmas day, though, 5 miles of hill repeats in Pewaukee, where I was surprised that I really still do have it.

I love my family. I love how the holidays bring us together.
