An object in motion...

...tends to just keep going. So here I am, in the third trimester by any due date range you use to measure, and I'm still running. Still riding, still hiking, still getting sweaty and sunburned and mosquito bitten. I'm very happy about that. My goal was to run to at least this point, and I'm happy that I'm still going.

Saturday was the WEMS at Kettle. I badly wanted to ride my bike, but I still am not racing and I knew my pokey pace would just mean getting out of the way and off my bike often for racers on the trail-- basically, getting nowhere. So, Ben loaded up his bike and I reluctantly left mine home, bringing Molly for a hike on the Nordic trails instead. She wore her pack and carried water for both of us. Every now and then a chipmunk would run by and she'd try to chase it, only to get caught because of the pack. Pretty silly. We called it quits after one loop (we had run 3 in the city that morning) and went to collect Ben. Somehow, though, Ben's 2 hour ride became much much longer and as much as we know Molly isn't good at races, we found ourselves waiting for Ben at the race. Sorry to anyone who experienced that madness... both Molly and I were tired out and handling her was quite the distraction from the catching up with people I really wanted to do.

This morning, ran another 3. I really want to get back to 4's, but now that Ben's home in the morning, I'd rather spend those 10 minutes in his company than pounding the pavement. Bradley class #3 tonight. The days, they are quite long.

I thinks its way cool to see you stay so active this whole time. It no doubt goes a long way in the long run (well maybe not SERIOUSLY a long run) ;)
