The wind up for the sprint

Thor's doing well this year. I'm a little worried after his misfires on the last two sprints, he just doesn't have the leadout help that others have, but I'm so happy for him. I still believe that every time Cavendish wins, somewhere a kitten drowns.

I too am getting ready for my own version of the sprint. It's about 20k to go but as it gets hotter and I get bigger seems I need to put a good effort in early to make sure I get there. Halfway through the Bradley classes, starting to interview pediatricians, starting to stock up on newborn care books. We haven't even started on the nursery yet and it's becoming something I think about often. At this point there's no denying that there's going to be a baby in our life, possibly in less than two months, and while we're in the process of being super prepared for labor we're not at all prepared for what comes after that. Time to do our homework.

Spending the weekend at Dan's lake house, up near the Kettle Moraine. Looking forward to riding trail two days. There's a lot on my mind and I'm hoping running into a few trees will erase some of it.

On behalf of all of us parents who were super prepared for labor but clueless what comes after, WELCOME to the parenting club. Like the rest of us, you will do what you guys think is best for the baby and the 2 of you, and with love, it all works out. Good luck and WAY TO GO stayin active thru all of it. :)
