Like a zombie in a china shop

I've been quiet for a while because we had a not-so-great week. Once again, too busy/exhausted to fit workouts in. Once again, Elliot sleeping in 2 hour segments making for some veeeeery long nights. Then, in keeping with the "The only thing you can rely on is change" mantra, Elliot sort of turned it around last night- sort of- and I'm less zombie and more just super sleepy.

Besides, moms have put up with this for millenia! I need to HTFU. Really.

I did get my 10 mile run in last weekend- my only run of the week- but had a little GI emergency 6 miles in that sort of cut the run in half. I made up for it by running mile 8 at HM race pace and mile 9 at 10k pace. It hurt. Take that.

Sunday we went to Iron Cupcake in Milwaukee to hang out with the Heenans and Mo and meet baby Beau. We had a rad time, and learned two things: there is a maximum eating capacity for cupcakes and it's lower than you'd think, and that if you want to make a boatload of money just throw a cupcake competition and make bakers "donate" their work.

I should have a brand new bike within a week but I can't seem to get excited about it. My mind is occupied with to-do lists, questions about getting stains out of cloth diapers, concerns about freezer stash, and just generally wishing I could spend more time relaxing and playing with E instead of doing endless loads of laundry and grocery shopping and bottle washing and such.
