...and away we go!

In order to complete Ben's master plan of fitting 5 bikes on the roof of our little Jetta, we had to locate a few more parts. Two mini-trays, two more wheel fork mounts, and we had till today 9am to get it done. I spent an hour calling around trying to find them, found the trays at one store - a flawless transaction - and then Kozy's in River North said they had the fork mounts. Got there and they were the wrong ones (contrary to what they told us) and at 6:30pm had 30 minutes to get up to the Kozy's in Avondale to try to get the right ones. What a pain. That shop has never done anything right by Ben or I in recent memory, but the guys working at the Avondale store did let our pouty faces in 2 minutes after closing, which was nice, though it was all the other Kozy's fault anyway. Ugh.

Anyway, we're all set to roll at 5:01pm tonight. Should be fun.

Word on the street is that Lance Armstrong might toe the line for Cross Vegas. Um. Yeah. Ben will have to tell you our thoughts on that. What a joke.

I only had time for 3 mi this morning. Gizmo said I ran it 45 sec/mi faster than my usual time. I uploaded the run and - whaddya know - it sorta went haywire and gave me credit for about .1mi further than I ran... hence the fast times. D'oh. Either way, thinking about how I've shaved :30/mi off all my times at this point, that's 13minutes off my marathon time! Huzzah. Can't wait.
