briefly....

stuck in an airport (again) but thinking about the 5 races in 8 days week... cross vegas may have been madness but the pit was calm and collected with mavic neutral at the helm. lance rolled in before the race allowing us to giggle at his stock trek cross bike, clinchers and all. aside from that, a few rolled tires at the back of the field were all we saw. lots of riders not in the results, thrown out for taking beer handups. ben rode 2 laps w lance and peaked in the high 20's but slipped back to have a good time and make some buxx.
this week also turned out to be a fun reunion of folks from the usac mechanic clinic, 5 of us in the pit and a few more at interbike. what great folks.
united tried to charge $250 to fly the bikes home because the one bag had 2 bikes. ugh. checked it on my us airways flight for $100 instead. we need a better solution.
