this weekend is Ben's only race weekend that I'll be missing. As I mentioned earlier, I wrote about a three-page missive on "taking care of the B-Pop," which Sam and Amanda will have the joy of dealing with. Nutrition, mechanics, how to deal with stuff in the pit... I guess it's routine for me now but I'm really glad that they're both excited to be in on the action and help out. Rain boots and jacket are probably going to help. It's been pouring all day today. Either way, if you see Sam or Amanda in Louisville this weekend please be friendly. They look like this:
I've been searching off and on for a ticket to PDX to join Ben there. It seemed like a sign of some sort when exactly the itinerary Ben's flying was on sale - and only that one - for under $300. I jumped on it. All season we've been able to fly him on frequent flyer miles and then the plan was that I'd come along if we could do it cheaply. We've been fortunate that it's worked out so well.

I wish we could get to SDF to see Ben race - and meet Amanda and the other guy, they look nice. And fun. That chick Zanne that you met with me in Cinti, the race is in her backyard practically and she is housing some of the race officials. Pretty cool. A good muddy weekend for Ben to race. Finally cx weather.
