everything in its right place.

What with not fitting running in between waking up and leaving for work, I've been able to leave the house each morning with the satisfying sense that everything is as it should be. Dishes done, humidifier filled, clothing in drawers, bed made, coffee in travel mug in hand, etc. Took Molly to the park for a half hour of frisbee. The little things. Last night I made cookies. If Ben really was 12 and if Molly was slighly dumber, it would look something like that <-.

On my walk to work, I have been listening to The Bends (album, not song) on repeat play for about two weeks now. It just seems fitting.

Tomorrow morning I'm hoping to fit a 10 miler in before meeting Audrey for brunch at 9:30. I dread choosing a route- is the lake front path going to be an icicle? What about the extension along the river at Wacker? Yaktracks or not? This is the problem with time off. You lose your rhythm, you start overthinking, and it all seems daunting. I need to just... go...

They have salted the cr@p out of the Path -- I was hoping for a bit of a snow ride today, no such luck.
