One bad dog means they're all bad, right? Wrong. If you're going to ban pit bulls after one owner can't control his, soon you'll have to ban all dogs over 40 lbs. It's just not a solution to the problem and it's unfair to all the furry friends who need homes.
Take a minute to call or email the Mayor. You may not be from Highland Park, but if you're a dog lover, you know that one ban leads to another, and that every time this happens, dogs end up homeless.

You can tell just by looking at that dog that she's a killer. At least I can.
Course I've never been bitten by a pit bull.
My dad had one who often terrorized us by licking us till we dissolved in agony.
I've been chased by Dobes, German shepherds, Labs, Poodles, and mutts, and the only dog that actually managed to bite me was a cocker spaniel.
But still I can tell just from looking at her, that that, dog is a killer.
Now if the towns and my home province of Ontario would just do something to ban idiot owners instead of dogs maybe some progress could be made.
damn, i hope i hope it doesn't pass. we jsut lie and say it's a boxer mix anyways. they don't even enforce the fucking laws they have.
"This may be a bit more clear: The staff has not been directed to place a Pit Bull (or any breed-specific ban) on Monday’s agenda, or any agenda in the future".
This is an email I got on Friday.
Thanks, Lair, I got that too. I think they got an onslaught of emails and decided they didn't want their meeting packed with friendly fuzzy dogs!
