I was up at 2:45am. I couldn't get back to sleep. When Ben left at 5:30am, I got on the bike and rolled out for my workout. When I got back, I took Molly for a run. Predictably the run fell apart around 3 miles, so now I'm sitting here writing instead. Yesterday's morning run sucked. Later I over-caffeinated, then faced down pounding headaches, nausea, and GI issues. I skipped last night's ride. Ben and I made rhubarb pie instead. (Thanks to Ben's mom for the awesome fresh rhubarb!)
The trip was all-out too short. Usually wherever I am, that becomes normal, and I return home and things seem strange. That didn't happen. It feels like I never left, like the whole thing was a dream. Malaysia was easy-- folks spoke English, lots of transit available, good food options, and except for the sticky weather it was pretty darn near an ideal vacation destination. I wish I could have stayed longer.
