Meeting people is easy...

(photo: Ben) Keeping up with people, though, seems nearly impossible these days.

Ben and I are super excited to have scheduled a doggy date with Molly and the beautiful Penny... and rescheduled it three times now. It is rescheduled for tonight, which means we had to wedge our workouts in this morning, which went like this:
Alarm set for 4:30. I wake up at 5:45, freak out, shake Ben. "Sun wasn't up yet, still too dark, went back to sleep, workout later," he grumbles. I go back to sleep. 6:45, we both get up, I go out for a 4mile run, Ben goes to work. Both of us will now try to get bike workouts in (90 min for me, 105 for him) between getting home from work and a 7pm doggie date. Wish us luck.

But it just seems to go like that. Ben's workouts, my doubles, race weekends... just about the only days we're free are Monday and Fridays, make that some fridays on non-race-weekends. So yeah, we can get together.. August 17?

It's frustrating, trying to keep up with people we care about using workday online chats and two sentence exchanges at races. I'm sincerely sorry. When it comes down to it, people are more important than this sporty crap. It's just hard to break the rhythm.

Awww! All your suffering I hope was worth it. Those two are going to be friends forever! I can't wait for Molly to teach Penny how to run into Lake Michigan like a pro!
