first, let me say thanks to the six folks who emailed me about Thor's win. No, I didn't see it - probably since the 4 hours I've spent on the ground recently were in the Tokyo airport. But thanks for thinking of me! Go Thor. I think he'd look great in green this year!

ok, so... Well, let's just say that mentally I made the 19 hours of flight time work for me- trying to stay fresh and just accept it. Sake was a better sleep aid than melatonin, and though I slept just 2 hours on the 1st flight and 4 on the 2nd, I did watch 6 pretty bad movies. 23 hours in transit and I get off the plane in an effing steam bath. Singapore is sticky. It's very clean and orderly, though, and we're staying in Little India - hooray, curry! After leaving Chi at 10:30am Thu, I finally hit the hay at 3am Sat AM singapore time, freshly showered my belly full of Paneer Makhni and beer.

i woke up to pouring rain. i should have packed like this was a run in Las Vegas- tech fabrics- but instead this AM my quick-dry towel was dry but my clothes from yesterday weren't. And naturally, though we're staying upstairs of a pub, the others in our room were up at 7. Ugh.

i think we're headed to the highlands in Malaysia tonight to seek cooler weather.
