But in the good news, I have done lots of knitting.
I forgot to mention last Sunday's run FAIL. As in, it was supposed to be 12, it ended up being 5.5. Why? I don't know, I just lost it. I was hungry and cranky and felt like crap and it was raining and windy and I just couldn't endure it. So, whereas my first marathon was smooth sailing, my second was fine up until a race day FAIL, now on the third my training is a FAIL. I think next year I'm bound to not even try. OK, ok, it was just one run, but...
I was supposed to do 5 yesterday and it was pouring rain here. I didn't pack the right stuff for those conditions, and I run in a drainage ditch that has big signs saying WARNING YOU WILL DIE A PAINFUL DEATH IF YOU RUN HERE WHEN IT IS EVEN THINKING OF RAINING, so I did my first treadmill workout in 2 years. I managed to make it through 3 before going completely insane. Walked on a heavy incline for a spell, then ran through to 5. What misery. How do people do that?
Anyway, I'm missing this weekend's run thanks to the trip to Ray's, so that will be three missed longer runs in a week. And here I am, sitting on a $125 registration to a sold-out marathon. Huh.

I ran yesterday. What a miserable run; 12 degrees but the wind made it feel the North Pole. I think a treadmill would be even more miserable though.
I'm sure you have a pretty good schedule to follow and with more than likely a plan around 18 weeks you have to remember you DO have room for a stretch like this. THIS PAST WEEK HAS SUKCED!! and treadmills in the pain cave SUKC as well! LOL
