Elliot had his first bath last night. Thumbs up.
So, usually I've registered for my spring marathon by now. Seeing as how I have virtually zero free time (baby's sleeping nustled in my neck right now) I'm not sure I'll find the 3-4 hours I need to do the long runs. So I'm thinking it may be a spring of halves. March Madness again, the Indy Mini, perhaps even the half at the Madison Marathon. Madison allows switching between events- maybe register for the full, thinking optimistically, then drop down to the half when I can't find time for 20 milers? Seeing as how I've run one half in my life, and that at 14 weeks pregnant, I really expect to be able to shave about 15 min off my time. Fingers crossed.
Ben, Elliot, and I will be at the local CX race on Sat. I'm not racing yet- probably give me a few more weeks. But I'm going to try my trail legs on Sunday morning. Wish me luck. Yesterday's run was another exercise in mad frustration. But I'm guessing sitting on my butt and feeding this baby is really just a bad warmup. I used to walk at least 2 mi a day on top of my running, and now I barely get 1/2 mi in on a good day.
