more winter fun.

Elliot is so super cute. He gets super cuter every day. He squeals and giggles and is completely huggable. Playing with him in the morning when he's super happy is the highlight of my day.

Last night he accompanied us to the bar, while we drank shots, and then to Jonny's Ice House for some Miller Lite and shouting at Lisa. He's such a good kid. He seems to like hockey.

This weekend I got my usual two workouts in- a long trainer workout and a long run. I re-did the 8 mile run. (Last week my run had a little, erm, pit stop at 6 miles. This is something completely new that has been happening since E was born. Not a welcomed development.) It had snowed 3" Sunday morning and I had to get my run in before the Packer game, so it was yaktraks on, garmin off- since trying to keep pace in yaktraks is totally futile. It was slow as molasses, but I got those miles in, and fighting snow and ice made those miles count as extra, or so I tell myself.

I'm back to my starting weight, which isn't race weight, but it's enough for me to fit into nearly all of my pre-pregnancy clothes. I feel blubbery though, and I'm guessing I'm carrying more fat and less muscle than usual. It's hard, though, since any more than 3 workouts a week is a huge struggle time-wise. Tonight I'm going back to ballet to get some toning and core work in. My biggest concern with that is naturally what to wear.
