wow, that was a lot.

The holidays, always dizzying. Add a baby to the picture and it's downright insane. We managed to have four different family Christmas dinners somehow. It was pretty rad to be able to see just about everyone, save my Eau Claire grandmother, so we can call baby's first Christmas a success.

I also ate just about everything in sight, and worked out very little. I've been managing 2-3 runs and a stair climb workout each week, but it's still about half what I used to do. I got up early on the 31st to get a slot in the March Madness Half Marathon again, and if I can't beat my molasses slow time from last year - run at 3 1/2 months pregnant- I'm going to gnaw my leg off. No pressure, right?

I'm starting to think about the race season. It's a little terrifying after relaxing and enjoying riding for fun for a year. I'm pretty sure I'll cat down at least to start the season and see how it goes. I'm also VERY excited to build the new MTB, living without one hurts, especially now that Ray's is open. I'm waiting on my new Rock Lobster frame. I have almost all the components sitting here, save brakes and little stuff like saddle and tires. Some sexy DT Swiss wheels came on Christmas Eve. Can't wait.

Ooooh, living without a MTB is NEVER good, you're right! It's difficult to get in all the training esp. this close PP and working!! I must say you're doing an awesome job as far as I can see! In my book, the holidays are time to eat a bit more and slack off a little in training. Gotta enjoy the extra cals while we can, right?!?
