Ben started a new job this week. We are very thankful for it, but the transition is difficult. It's in the suburbs and the commute is 30 - 60 min each way, and he leaves at 7am and gets home around 6:30pm. That gives him about 90 minutes of angry driving in traffic each day but just an hour of time home with Elliot awake. Ouch.
I'm not complaining. He wouldn't have taken this job if it wasn't something we needed. It's just hard for him. And us.
I'm hoping to eventually be able to get up with him and head out for a run when he leaves the house. Hasn't happened yet, but hopefully soon.
In other news... the final components for the MTB arrive today. Yes, that's the frame I received in late February. The good news (is that good?) is that the trails have been so rained out that I've barely missed a day or two of riding. Meanwhile I still have a bib for the Indy Mini on Sat, but I haven't run since the 25th and I have no plan for getting there or where to stay. I'm giving it a 50/50 right now. If it's going to rain, I'm def staying home.
