(photo: Al)grrrrrrowl! After having to shout at MANY men to get off the course during our races this season, most of them getting off after one or two reminders, a true idiot "didn't hear" all of us yesterday (because he had HEADPHONES in!) and rode an entire lap, passing people in the race. I knew I was going to take him to the mat. And when his first words to me were "You got a problem, honey?" I exploded. RAWR.
I would like to apologize for my language, and my anger, and the fact that I do take it personally and I do wrongly assign their actions to disregard or disrespect for women/juniors, which makes me way shoutier. I should know that it's no vendetta- just stupidity- but still. I walked away with a warning on my license. That's what I get for losing it when some guy takes it upon himself to joyride my race.
Anyway... yeah, I raced, sorta. That course has too many punchy hills for my heavy self and my heavy bike, and just as was the case last year, I didn't do so hot. Meh. On the last lap after I took a beer from David, Ben jumped out of a pile of leaves and tried to attack. I didn't get it, and instead just tossed the half-empty beer at him. And he caught it. Pretty cool. But...
My brother has the awesome.
He came down from Milwaukee, borrowed some shoes, grabbed Ben's b-bike, and raced the 4b's. He took beers, cheese puffs, and whiskey shots. It was amazing. So much fun. Audrey and Lisa were there just to shout at people! I got to help, too. (this one's by Amy.)
Now that is the face of someone who is HOOKED.

Good for you. Those people SUCK. Happens here too.
That photo of you and your brother is awesome!
Personally, I think you should have gotten a gold star on your license. = )
Yup.....he's hooked.
I think the anger + the brotherly love balanced you out.
It always feels rewarding when you give someone the gift of cyclocross
You should get yourself a cyclocross bike...
